Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Establishing shot of Nicole and Li, wearing normal clothing, sitting on a sofa in a waiting room. The room is mostly dark except for the area around the sofa, illuminated by a light-globe above them.
Caption: 10 days later:
Li: You spoke with Nigel? What did he say?
Nicole: That he never wants to see any of us again.
Panel 2
Medium 2-shot of Li and Nicole. Nicole looks downcast.
Li: I guess I can't blame him. At least you were invited to the memorial service.
Nicole: He wouldn't have met Buford if not for me. I guess he figured I should be there, for that reason.
Panel 3
Li gently places a finger under Nicole's chin.
Li: Chin up, darling. It won't do to go into this interview looking like, well …
Nicole: Like my best friend died?
Li: Speaking of friends ...
Panel 4
Li and Nicole.
Li: Where did Murphy go? I haven't seen or heard from her.
Nicole: She took Seamus' head to a place she called 'Tír na nÓg'. That's all I know.
