Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Looking past Bok and Occipital at Owdrah, who is molding a beautiful figurine.
Bok: I mean, look at Owdrah over there. His scuplture is looking great.
Bok: He seems to be doing it effortlessly, and enjoying himself.
Bok: Do you want to go over there and smash his sculpture so he can put more effort into it?
Panel 2
Owdrah is now worried someone is going to smash his figurine, and puts his hands around it protectively. Ophelia Takei, sitting next to Owdrah, is looking at Bok with some hostility.
Mr. Occipital: Relax, Mr. Osmond, no one is going to damage your splendid figurine.
Ophelia: Be careful, Owdrah. Bok is jealous of your skill.
Bok: Oh, for crying out loud. I didn't mean to threaten you, Owdrah.
Panel 3
Ophelia then lowers the boom on Bok. The other kids giggle. Bok gets a bit red, stares daggers back at her.
Ophelia: That's okay, Bok, your inability to make your meaning clear is less important than the effort you put into your wisecracks.
Occipital: Let's change the subject, shall we?
