Hu Iz Alyss Roaz?
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Foot, Lumbar, Bok.
Lumbar: 'Hu is Aliss Roaz.' We have seen and heard this expression come up repeatedly in the last five years. Do you know what it means?
Bok: I don't know. And you don't know, either.
Lumbar: That response is not helpful, Mr. Clark. You cannot know what I do or don't know.
Panel 2
Same scene, focus on Bok.
Bok: I know that you don't know what that expression means.
Bok: Look, it means what I just said, that 'I don't know, and you don't know either.'
Bok: It means that your precious social structure makes no sense.
Bok: That there must be some reason things are the way they are, but that reason is hidden.
Panel 3
Lumbar and Bok.
Lumbar: You are speaking nonsense. Of course our social structure is entirely sensible.
Lumbar: You are still immature, Mr. Clark, and subject to immature passions.
Lumbar: That is the reason you cannot see the correctness of our society.
Bok: Yeah-yeah, if you say so.
