The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

The C.A.T.: In fact, I am a C.A.T. – a Cybernetic Automotile Telequidnuc.
The C.A.T.: But I also answer to 'Michael.'

Bok, Zander and Diana regard this artifact carefully.
Bok: I've seen all kinds of 'bots, but never a Cat-bot.
Diana: I think he's more like a Cyber-Pussy.
Michael: Please don't call me that.

Michael turns to walk away, looking back at the youths.
Michael: Since you brought the mistress back in an injured state I gather the trip was hurried and you have not been briefed on the situation here.
