Hu Iz Alyss Roaz?
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Elevated angle from behind Alyss, looking at all the Zytemondians.
Lupin: Okay, so our Central Intelligence is pulling our society down the drain. What can we do about it?
Alyss: I'm not sure there is anything. I came to your world simply to observe, and make reports.
Bok: But you've been doing more than that, haven't you?
Panel 2
Focus on Alyss, laying an affectionate hand on Zander's shoulder.
Alyss: Yes. I … as I got to know some of you, the great tragedy of what your system was doing to you weighed heavily on me.
Alyss: Especially to exceptional talents, like Zander here. In my world, he would be learning to be a great engineer in paratronics, or dimensional mechanics.
Panel 3
Different angle on Alyss, including Elric and Sargon.
Alyss: The majority of Zytemondians are quite comfortable in their … gilded cages.
Alyss: They would never accept a culture of self-reliance.
Alyss: But some of you, like all of you here, deserve better, and I thought I could lay the seeds of cultural evolution among you.
Panel 4
Focus on Alyss, looking sad. In the background, an image of the Master Processor from strip 47.
Alyss: But your Central Intelligence has a powerful grip on your society.
Alyss: More powerful and tenacious than I had at first realized.
Alyss: Early on, I made some missteps, and, someone I cared about, a man named Santiago Clark, was taken, and … and ...
Panel 5
Looking past Alyss at Bok, who is looking shocked.
Bok: Santiago! You knew my father?!
Alyss: Yes Bok, I met him about a year after your mother died. We became … good friends.
Alyss: He had considerable charisma, and I thought he could lead your culture out of the woods. So I showed him the truth behind the veil.
Panel 6
Bok is tearing up a bit. Alyss looks at him with a loving gaze.
Bok: That's how he knew … all those things … it was you.
Alyss: Yes, Bok, it was me. Now you understand the debt I owe to him, and to you.
Alyss: I intend to rescue as many exceptional Zytemondians as I can, but I swear I will do everything possible for your father.
