A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Alyss ducks and fires her forearm zinger as another zinger-beam comes from the foreground and strikes Lupin on the shoulder.
SFX: ZIINGG!!
Lupin: Aaaa!
SFX (Alyss): ZINGG!! ZINGG!!
Panel 2
Lupin puts a hand on his shoulder.
Lupin: I'm not injured, but … that really hurt.
Alyss: Your armor protected you, this time.
Alyss: Next time they'll be using more power.

The group proceeds forward. We see them in the middle distance. In the forground right and left, framing them, we see a pair of guard-bots waiting in ambush.
Sargon: This is rather like a game, where the going gets harder along the way.
Alyss: THIS IS NO SHUCKING GAME, SARGON!
