Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
The visitors' area at the jail. A row of windows separated by partitions, with visitors on one side and prisoners on the other. No visible phone handsets. Two guards are visible at one end of the room. Bomba (Buford's mom) sits (uncomfortably, in a chair designed for longer legs) at one of the windows, talking to Buford, seated on the other side of the glass.
Bomba: I just don't know what to say, except tat I warned you about sneaking out.
Buford: I know, momma.
Panel 2
Looking from Buford's side, we see Bomba in the window.
Bomba: Te bail is te same as your likely fine – 13,000 miltons.
Buford: 13,000! I can't belief it. Can we get a lawyer?
Panel 3
Medium close-up on Bomba, looking very sad.
Bomba: Tey tell me if we can't pay te fine, it's 60 days in jail.
Bomba: Buford, 13,000 miltons is almost our entire safings since we came to Luna.
Panel 4
Bomba is sadly turning to leave. Buford can be seen in the window looking betrayed.
Bomba: I'm sorry, Buford, but it's best for te family tat you serf your sentence. Poppa says you need to learn a lesson.
Buford: Momma? Are you joking? Momma?
