Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 140
Panel 1Abdi and Hitomi walking along a corridor aboard the Spanish Wells.
Abdi: We will be making final approach to Venus in two hours.
Abdi: Will you please notify our passengers to prepare for high deceleration?
Hitomi: Sure, Abdi.
Panel 2
At a corridor intersection, they turn in different directions, glancing back at each other for one final exchange.
Abdi: And the captain says Patel better not be late for his shift this time.
Hitomi: Ha-ha! I'll check on him.
Panel 3A
Patel is coming out of his cabin door just as Hitomi walks up. He looks very relaxed.
Patel: Morning! Tell the captain no worries.
Hitomi: Uh, ok.
Panel 3B
Suddenly, Nicole, wearing a robe, appears in Patel's cabin doorway, looking like the cat that ate the canary. Hitomi is surprised.
Hitomi: Er ...
Panel 4A
Nicole exits stage right, still grinning. Hitomi watches her go.
Hitomi: Um …
Panel 4b
Hitomi is left standing there, looking defeated.
Hitomi: Huh.
