To boldly go where no manic pixie dream girl has gone before.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
We Now Return You To Your Regularly Scheduled Program. [ Mar 1, 2021 ]
Texas has returned to more normal winter weather conditions, power is back on and Internet connections are working. Which means Scott has new Quantum Vibe strips ready to go this week. We appreciate everyone's understanding and patience as we emerged from hibernation.
And if you haven't already, please help us keep the lights on by buying Quantum Vibe books (in print or digital) along with any of Big Head Press's other thoughtful stories.
Panel 1
Pfbbtt-Pfft, Murphy, and Hugo. Hugo looks like he's just realized something.
PP: Of course, we still haven't explored half our galaxy. We believe the CUSH come from there, but there may be others we haven't discovered.
Murphy: A galaxy practically teeming with sapient races. Incredible!
Panel 2
Murphy, Hugo and Eithne. Hugo is looking quietly alarmed. Eithne looks puzzled.
Hugo (thoughtsend): Murphy, we need to get out of here, now.
Murphy (thoughtsend): Why? This discussion is getting really interesting.
Murphy (aloud): So, while you don't understand the CUSH technology, do you have any working theories about it?
Panel 3
Pull back a bit so we also see PP. Hugo and Eithne are looking at each other.
PP: Well, some had speculated they use hyperspace slipstreams, others believed they could generate worm-holes at will ...
Eithne (thoughtsend): Why the alarm, Hugo?
Hugo (thoughtsend): We are being played, Eithne …
Hugo (thoughtsend): … And this is not a game we want to be part of.
