Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Exterior of shuttle, rocketing towards Venus.
Nicole (from inside shuttle): Seamus, what happened?
Seamus (from inside shuttle): When their ship intersected the EM-shield, it effectively sent an electro-magnetic pulse through the ship.
Panel 2
Inside the shuttle, Nicole, Seamus and the Pilot. Nicole is still holding the Watson screen but the holo-display is deactivated. She is looking a bit shaken. Seamus is looking quite self-satisfied.
Seamus: As I expected, the pulse was enough to fry their circuitry.
Nicole: Geez.
Seamus: They're no threat to us now.
Panel 3
Close-up on pilot.
Pilot: However, a 250-tonne ship moving at 15 kps is a menace to local navigation.
Pilot: I'm plotting their course so we can avoid smacking into them again after turnaround.
Panel 4
Pilot, Nicole and Seamus, who is now looking a bit sheepish. Nicole is collapsing Watson back to smart-phone size and looking at Seamus accusingly.
Pilot: They will clear Ishtar Station by 119 kilometers, pass within 500 kilometers of Venus and then head out of the plane of the ecliptic, in the direction of Antares.
Nicole: Seamus, everyone aboard is going to die!
