To boldly go where no manic pixie dream girl has gone before.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Overhead shot of Ralf and Eithne in the marketplace. It's in a largish space, a lot of shops cheek-by-jowl on two levels. More like a Middle-Eastern bazaar than an American shopping-mall. The pair are walking down a main aisle
Eithne: We need a hundred square meters of graphene sheeting and thirty liters of plasteel mix.
Ralf: I know a K'Tagon who knows a Blor-dair who knows a Wendikite who can get us a good deal on both of those items.
Panel 2
Eithne stops by a small booth offering clothing accessories (belts, bracelets, necklaces), where she's examining a multi-corded necklace. There are three other shoppers in the background scene.
Eithne: You know a lot of people here?
Ralf: I've been through a few times in the past several years.
Ralf: Most here are transient spacers but there are also plenty of regulars and residents.
Panel 3
The apparent proprietor of the booth comes forward.
Proprietor: May I show you some of my finer necklaces?
Ralf: Please tell the General that the boots he ordered have arrived.
Proprietor: Ah ...
Panel 4
The Proprietor bows slightly as he takes a step back.
Prorprietor: Please see Restrel the Chemist, two sections up and one to the right.
Proprietor: Tell him I said this rock is too damn cold.
Proprietor: Have a lovely day.
Panel 5
Ralf and Eithne walk away from the booth. We can see other people in the background. One of them was also in Panel 2, and he is noticing our heroes' move.
Ralf: Man, a two-step screening now. My contact must be either getting big, or getting a bit paranoid.
Eithne: A bit of paranoia is not a character flaw. It's a survival feature.
Panel 6
That bystander in the background now starts to walk the same direction as Ralf and Eithne were headed.
Rolf (OP): I've been meaning to ask: Where did someone as young as you learn strategy?
Eithne (OP): Promise not to laugh? Do you know what Vir-games are?
