Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Standoff in Juan's office. Diana still has her zringer charged. Agent Tieman is trying to de-escalate, while Agent Verdana is off to the side, rubbing his eyes.
Diana: Waitasec … Juan's disappearance?
Diana: I last saw him almost … 20 hours ago, when I left here.
Agent Tieman: That would have been roughly 13:50 yesterday.
Panel 2
Diana is relaxing more now. Her zringer is depowered. Tieman is collapsing the scanner she had been holding.
Diana: Yeah, I guess so. I'd had a rough day and Juan sent me home early.
Agent Tieman: But you didn't go straight home, did you?
Agent Tieman: Your apartment security shows an entry at 15:18. Was that you?
Panel 3
Diana is hesitant, not sure how much to tell the agents. Tieman tucks the collapsed scanner into one of her hip-pouches. Verdana is still rubbing one eye but getting back into the game.
Diana: Yeah, uh … wait, no. I didn't get home until ... 17:80 or so.
Agent Verdana: Almost 18:00? Where were you during all that time?
Diana: I had dinner at the Mercado DeSoto, then wandered around a bit.
Panel 4
Diana tries to re-assert herself, but the Agents are persistent.
Agent Tieman: Wandered around … where did you go, in particular?
Diana: Just … around! Geez, I thought you guys respected the privacy of your clients!
Agent Tieman: I thought you'd want to help us find your missing employer.
