Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Diana has now stepped up and is directly between Lorelei and Byron. Diana's guards have closed ranks a bit. Cooper is speaking with Diana, flanked by his lieutenants and three other Agents (the other six having moved away).
Caption: He asked me about my whereabouts the evening Juan was taken.
Caption: So I told him about stopping by the mall, the RPLC event ('just looking out of curiosity'), and getting followed and eluding the follower; the trashed apartment ...
Cooper: But why didn't you contact us immediately about your apartment?
Panel 2
Diana gesticulates as she talks.
Caption: In order to explain that I'd have to reveal details of our investigation. So, I fibbed.
Diana: I … I thought the building gerente would take care of that.
Diana: I panicked, okay? And I fled, and kept trying to contact Juan but he didn't answer.
Panel 3
Cooper is looking intensely at Diana, making up his mind. We can see one of Byron's cameras in the frame.
Caption: Then, he paused. I was worried he'd ask me about the dive I fled to, or the hotel I stayed in.
Caption: (I preferred to keep those hiding places a secret. Just in case.)
Caption: Or, that he might decide to make a grab for me after all.
Panel 4
Cooper is displaying a holographic business card, floating at his raised fingertip. The others in the frame look more relaxed.
Caption: However …
Cooper: Thank you, Senhora Martelli, that's all I have to ask you, now.
Cooper: If you have anything to add later, please contact me directly.
Caption: I might have felt relieved, but this was a bit too easy.
