Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Medium close-up on the Assistant doing surgery on Diana's arm. We can't see Diana's face in this frame. The Assistant has a mask and there's a floating tray with some surgical tools on it.
Assistant: All right, I'm through the dermal layers now, looking at the muscular structure.
Assistant. The local anesthesia field is holding steady. Easy-peasy there, Diana.
Panel 2
Same shot. Now the incision is being held open by what looks like a row of staples.
Assistant: Okay, the retractors are doing their job, I can see the fracture site on the ulna now.
Assistant. Looks like the tracker is integrated into the bone structure.
Panel 3
Same shot. The Assistant is intently focused on her work, a tool in each hand.
Assistant: This means I have to re-break the bone at the union point, to get the foreign object out.
Assistant: Then re-set and install a new unionizer patch.
Assistant: You'll need to wear a cast on this arm for a few days as the patch solidifies into your new bone structure.
Panel 4
Shift angle. The Assistant is still focused on the arm, but now we see Diana's face for the first time. She looks utterly horrified and a bit nauseated.
Assistant: We're more than half-way done.
Assistant: How are you holding up?
Diana: I'm fine.
