Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Scott's home and studio were without electric power for three days after the freak winter ice/snow storm hit Texas last week. That plus needing a day to recover and recuperate has eaten up his buffer of strips and put him a week behind schedule. We regret that a one-week pause in uploads is unfortunately necessary.
Panel 1
In the middle-ground, Diana and Wook are looking anxiously at the prostrate Belbenoit, whose lower half we can see in the right foreground. Wook is extending a protective arm in front of Diana.
Diana: Oh, fuck. Did you kill him?
Wook: I don't think so. Please stay behind me.
Panel 2
Diana and Wook are standing guardedly closer to Belbenoit, who is now fully in the frame. He's motionless, we can't see his eyes.
Diana: He's not moving.
Wook: He's still between us and our flyer.
Diana: Maybe we can just maneuver around him?
Panel 3
Two-shot of Diana and Wook, arguing with each other (and not looking at Belbenoit).
Wook: If he is critically injured we should call for paramedics.
Diana: He grabbed me! You defended me. We don't owe him jack.
Wook: No, but it would look better if there's an arb about this.
Panel 4
Same shot as Panel 2, but Belbenoit is missing, and Diana and Wook are just noticing.
Diana: Yikes! Where'd he go?
Wook: Well …
Wook: … it's a relief to know I didn't kill him.
