Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
We Made It! [ Jun 2, 2022 ]
Third try, as they say, is a charm.
The crowdfunding campaign for QUANTUM VIBE: This Means War Part 2 made its goal one day before the closing, and climbed a bit over the top in the final day.
Over the next week Scott will design the back cover and assemble the book pages for printing. We expect to have the printed books (as well as the cards and T-shirts) on hand in the second half of June and will ship them out to backers ASAP.
(The e-book version will also be released by then and we'll announce that date when we have it locked down.)
Panel 1
Medium c/u on Diana, gathering her wits.
Caption: I was reeling, and had a sickening feeling that Zander might be banished to Pandemonium. So, I deflected.
Diana: Wait … Smith & Holder was hacked? How would Gianturco know about that?
Diana: And what does Alyss Roaz have to do with anything?
Panel 2
Areum, Diana and Bouissou. Bouissou's sundae is one more scoop of ice-cream smaller.
Bouissou: Oh, our two companies audit each others' cyber-security measures. It keeps us both performing optimally.
Bouissou: As for Roaz, well, who else would be so interested in what happened to the unfortunate Hayami? I assume she's bank-rolling you.
Panel 3
Diana soldiers on, as Areum looks on.
Caption: I needed to give Bouissou something else to think about.
Diana: I hoped to learn what might motivate Hayami's killer.
Diana: Turns out she's a former member of an outfit called Républicains Pour La Démocratie.
Panel 4
Now it's Bouissou's turn to look troubled. He's just taken another gulp of ice-cream, the spoon is still in his mouth.
Diana: A search of public records shows that you were also a former member.
Diana: And in fact, you both quit about the same time.
Diana: So, could there be some ... political motivation behind her murder?
Bouissou: PWTKL?
