Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Transcript For Strip 1982
Panel 1In a broad, curved corridor, the outer wall/window explodes inward.
Caption: Claude had his own Oresme shield, at a tight radius around the building, so Alyss couldn't 'displace' commandos into the building.
Panel 2
Commandos in full kit are jumping in through the breach, running with weapons ready.
Caption: The parking bays would be heavily covered, so Alyss didn't use them.
Caption: Guido could pin-point the dimensional 'deviance' inside the building so Alyss made her own entry-way, closer to the goal.
Caption: She also had her armada strike at other points in the building, to sow confusion and disperse defenders.
Panel 3
In a large room, a flash-bang grenade is going off, stunning the half-dozen people in the room.
Caption: Otto called Alyss a 'warlord' but she used tactics aimed at minimizing blood-shed.
Caption: Flash-bang grenades have been around for centuries but they are still effective as an assault begins.
Panel 4
Pitched battle of armored fighters blasting each other with zinger-pistols.
Caption: Zingers can incapacitate without killing, although I can tell you it really fucking hurts.
Caption: Of course, with personal shielding sometimes you need to have a bigger zinger.
