Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

On Dominic Martello. He's indicating one of his pointy ears.
Dominic: Ah, no, despite our similar surnames I'm not related to Diana.
Dominic: Obviously I'm descended from Alyss Roaz, neé Nicole Oresme, and Situ Li-Liang, via my mother, Miriam Ruiz Allen. My father is Alan Martello Ruiz.
Dominic: So, my full name is Dominic Alan Allen Ruiz Martello Ruiz.
Dominic: Granny here calls me 'Dominic,' but my friends usually call me 'Marty.'
Panel 2
Dominic facing the Arbs
Dominic: But more importantly I'm the foremost expert on Oresme Shields.
Arb Andrews: And you had developed a theory regarding these ... hyper-cubexahedrons?
Dominic: Hey, you got it right! You're smarter than I look.
Panel 3
On Dominic.
Dominic: Anyway, a hyper-cubexahedron can only exist in six-dimensional space-time.
Dominic: Or alternatively, eight-dimensional space-time. It plays both sides of the street, as it were.
Dominic: But my concern was that if someone could work in those extra dimensions, they might find a way to get around Oresme shields, and you can guess the problem that would create for civilized living.
Panel 4
The Arbs reacting.
Arb Andrews (OP): Someone could displace a bomb into this hearing room!
Arb Sandini (OP): Someone could displace an invasion force into the city!
Arb Feingold (OP): My daughter's boy-friend could displace himself into … well, we get the picture.
