Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Scott's home and studio were without electric power for three days after the freak winter ice/snow storm hit Texas last week. That plus needing a day to recover and recuperate has eaten up his buffer of strips and put him a week behind schedule. We regret that a one-week pause in uploads is unfortunately necessary.
Establishing shot of one of the permimeter defense stations mentioned in strip 006. A small spacecraft is parked nearby, and a suited figure is emerging.
Caption: Perimeter Station PS-187 resides in a gravitationally-stable 'Lagrange-point' within the five-star system that is home to Bubbleopolis.
Caption: The city itself, 43 million kilometers away, appears as a tiny white dot indistinguishable in the stellar background.
Close-up on the suited figure. We can see the face of a woman in the helmet.
Caption: The stations require regular servicing and inspection by a team of technicians.
Caption: So, this visit is not so unusual except that it is off-schedule.
Cut to: a bedroom scene. We see the same woman – Zondra -- carefully climbing out of bed, where a man we can recognize as Alec Stern from strip 002 lies sleeping.
Caption: 05 Septiary 1076:
Caption: The technicians know the codes required to access the stations, and work on them.
Caption: Needless to say, such information must not fall into the wrong hands.
The woman is in another darkened room, examining a small hand-held device resembling a smart-phone.
Caption: As those stations are vital to the city's security, these technicians are carefully vetted.
Caption: Their lovers, not so much.
