Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
End of flash-back: The space-suited figure is entering the small station via an access hatch.
Caption: 11 Septiary 1076:
Zondra: (thinking) This is where I find out whether the codes I stole are the correct ones.
Zondra: Ah. So far, so good.
Panel 2
Zondra is inside a small compartment, doing something to the circuitry with some tools carried in a hip-pack.
Zondra (thinking): That fool Alec still doesn't have a clue what I really wanted from him.
Zondra: Now let's see … I need to find the line for the UHF decoder bus and switch it from the scanning intermodulator to the looped multiplexor ...
Panel 3
Zondra replaces a plate covering the circuitry she was messing with.
Zondra: That blackmail business was a distraction, to keep him from thinking too much.
Zondra: Of course, the extra money doesn't hurt. I'll be having some travel expenses.
Panel 4
Zondra glides back to her spacecraft from the station.
Zondra: Maybe a few days on Nouveau Mo'orea before I settle in at Kendraxa.
Zondra: Or maybe Notsvelaga, depending how much heat I'll have to avoid.
