Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

A muster of militia members. We see the backs of the troops as a Capitã Campos addresses them. Another officer stands a few meters to the left, remaining silent.
Caption: Less than an hour later, Militia Capitã Campos addresses the Tech Brigade.
Capitã Campos: By now you all have the general outlines of what has happened.
Capitã Campos: Teams are being dispatched to the affected spheres to find survivors.
Closer shot on Campos
Campos: Emergency medical centers are being set up in Ocampa, Houston, Nuveau Bayonne, and Athens spheres.
Campos: Attached to these are information officers who are already dealing with anxious friends and relatives.
Campos: That leaves us. The impactor got through because of a fault in the Perimeter Watch system.
Looking past Campos at the militia, there are about two dozen of them, and they look very grim. We can see Alex Stern and Shohta Rosen among them.
Campos: Another missile might be on its way. So I want every tech to visit his assigned station immediately and make sure all systems are functioning as they should be.
Campos: Then report back to me, in person. Dismissed.
The group exits through a door near Campos, but she stops Alex. Shotah glances back as he exits through the door.
Campos: Wait up, Senhor Stern.
Campos: We need to have a chat.
