Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Lorelei is not amused.
Lorelei: Gourdammit, Marty, this is no joking matter.
Lorelei: Millions of lives are at stake here!
Lorelei: You should begin testing right away!
Dominic (OP): Sure thing, Senhora deCleyre ...
Panel 2
Dominic (Marty) explains, ticking off points on his fingers.
Dominic: All we need to do is:
Dominic: 1) Find a massive iron rock shaped like a missile.
Dominic: 2) Accelerate it up to 90 percent of lightspeed.
Dominic: 3) Get someone to shoot it at us without warning, to see if we can spot it in time.
Panel 3
Focus on Lorelei with Alyss, the latter looking at the former with amusement.
Lorelei: How long would that take to set up?
Dominic (OP): The second part will take at least a year, if nothing goes wrong and we use a smaller rock.
Lorelei: Oh. That's a problem.
Panel 4
Back to Dominic, looking darkly mischievous.
Dominic: Long before then, our mysterious 'friends' will likely take care of the third part for us.
Dominic: Every part of my system is functioning. The simulations all look good.
Dominic: But the real test … well, that will be the only one that counts.
