Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Exterior view of the D.O.M.5 restaurant, a free-floating structure nestled among some others. This sphere is fairly uptown.
Caption: And, so they met:
Alyss: You passed the holo-screens and the DNA scan matches the records from the medical procedures you received courtesy of Lorelei deCleyre.
Alyss: So I'm going to assume you're for real …
Alyss: … unless you slip up somehow.
Panel 2
Diana and Alyss are seated across from each other in a booth that looks exactly like the one in the early part of 'Château Périlleux.' Diana is looking a bit reticent.
Alyss: So, what's this 'long story' about losing your implant?
Diana: A job took me out to Dennisova, on Gochica. I, uh, well …
Diana: I fell into a trap.
Panel 3
Alyss laughs, as Diana blushes.
Alyss: HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!
Alyss: Sorry, but that does seem to be your habit.
Diana: It wasn't funny at the time. I was electrocuted.
Panel 4
Now Alyss is blushing.
Alyss: Ai mi cabaça! That's terrible!
Diana: It fried most of the implant's memory.
Alyss: That's … unusual but it's been known to happen.
