A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

A waiting area at the Cooper Security office. Diana is seated, looking a bit nervous.
Caption: Elsewhere in the City, at the offices of Cooper Securidad:
Diana (thought): Alright, Diana, keep it together. You've done all manner of interviews.
Diana: And you've dealt with Sergio Cooper before, even worked with him.

Diana (thought): He was an advisor to Alyss at our trial over the Château Périlleux affair.
Diana: We first met when Lorelei DeCleyre arranged to have me 'surrender' to him as Byron Tchaikovsky live-streamed the event.
Diana: Kinda weird, though, my memories from that time seem a bit … distanced.

Diana: Ah … thank you.
