Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Project Complete! [ Oct 31, 2023 ]
We made it! We exceeded our target goal and we're wrapping up the loose ends. Big thanks to our project backers. We're your biggest fans for supporting our project to create the Omnibus hard bound edition of Quantum Vibe: The Murphy Drive>, a collection of the first three volumes of the Quantum Vibe saga.
Over the next week or so, Scott will be assembling the book pages for printing. We expect to have the printed books and other items on hand and ready for ship in December 2023. The E-book edition of the Omnibus should be available for download from DriveThruComics to those backers who selected that award. Vouchers will be sent via email.
Panel 1
New Scene: Ext frontal view of Li’s starship against a starry background
Caption: Meanwhile, 278 light-years away:
William (from ship): Well, that’s three locations and three negatives.
William: Where do we go from here?
Panel 2
Cockpit of Li’s ship, William and Li.
Li: {Sigh} I guess we go to Azmodo, I know some people there.
William: Azmodo? There are still people living on that cursed rock?
Panel 3
Li and William:
Li: A bit less cursed these days, after some folks figured out an effective shield against that planetoid’s radio-active mantle.
Li: The people there are tough as nails and like their privacy … so they let everyone think the place is dead or dying.
Panel 4
Ext view again, this time rear view as we see the ship pops-in roughly fifty megameters from a rather unattractive planet.
William: These people you mention … why do you think they could help, being sequestered away in a place such as this?
Li: Well …. to explain I’d first have to hire you as my advogado.
Panel 5
Back in the cockpit, William and Li.
William: My base rate is a deci-Moebit per hour. But for you I’ll do a consult for one beer.
Li: Works for me, but payment will have to wait until we hit port.
Panel 6
William and Li.
William: Whatever this secret is, I hope it’s worth at least a beer.
Li: It’s worth your life, to be honest. But I know a great brew-pub on Azmodo.
