Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Lee: Colonized by some Russian families almost 300 years ago.
Panel 2
Inside Lee's ship.
Lee: The colonists chose a relatively low-tech lifestyle, so the population now is not quite one million persons, clustered into two dozen towns and almost a hundred tiny hamlets.
Panel 3
Lee's ship entering the planet's upper atmosphere
William: Strange place for our quarry to go to ground.
Lee: Maybe not. Most folks here don't do cortical implants, or any other physical enhancements.
Lee: Here especially, she's super-human.
Panel 4
Lee's ship lands.
William: The space-port looks a bit... primitive.
Lee: Not much traffic here. This world is basically self-sufficient, but has little to offer for inter-galactic trade.
Panel 5
William now in disquise, he and Lee pay the landing fee.
Williams: How far do we have to go overland?
Lee: Not far. Less than 200 klicks.
Panel 6
William and Lee begin driving off in a car.
William: When you said these folks like a low-tech lifestyle, you weren't kidding.
Lee: If you'd prefer, I could get us a horse-drawn wagon.
