Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
In the village of Gruensk, an odd pair walk along: A lumbering giant and a normal-sized man with longish, wavy hair and a mustache. Both carrying the same bags we saw Li and William carrying on the previous page.
Giant: Why do I have to wear this ridiculous disguise, while you look so … dashing?
Mustache guy: Because the disguises work best when they conform to our actual sizes.
Mustache guy: And, I am dashing.
Panel 2
The pair continue walking.
Giant: You know, these holo-disguises can be seen through with the right tech.
Giant: And, our quarry likely has that.
Mustache: True ...
Panel 3
Another angle on the pair
Mustache: … But the locals don’t.
Mustache: This way we look like we come from maybe a few hundred klicks away rather than a few million light-years. Less likely to draw attention.
Panel 4
Another angle on the same scene. A pair of locals walks past, gawking a bit at the giant.
Giant: So you were saying?
Mustache: I said ‘less likely,’ not unlikely.
Mustache: But I guarantee we won’t generate the buzz our actual appearance would cause.
Panel 5
Two-shot of the pair
Giant: So how far to the inn?
Mustache: Pretty much the other side of town.
Mustache: But the route we’re walking gives us a good lay of the place, which may be of benefit later.
Panel 6
The pair approach the tavern. It is fully night now and the inn provides nearly all the illumination.
Mustache: Okay, this is the tavern.
Giant: Do we have reservations?
Mustache: I have a few, but no, I didn’t call ahead.
