Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1: Philomela looks at the caption above "seems like I got a bit more time"
Panel 2: Philomela eyes closed and fingers raised proclaims in a solemn tone "the 2023 AI craze was caused by a denoiser marketed as "AI" but while it indeed used neural networks that did not give it basic abilities like learning from practice. But all it did was "fill in blanks"."
Panel 3: Philomela reading from a book: "College professors failed classes asking denoisers if they wrote their students' papers, the answer followed the question's framing not true knowledge, as it could not know. Lawyers got disbarred for requesting summaries but receiving made up answers based on the given patterns."
Panel 4: Philomela closes the book, a sad, solemn expression on her face "Artists' galleries were used to train denoising tensor patterns or checkpoints of this learning process with images seen as beautiful by the trainers. This process mimicked human learning as it was modeled after it on purpose, but in this process the denoiser had no ability to initiate learning or learn directly from previous usage."
Panel 5: Philomela shrugs with a sad expression: "a trained denoiser is "dead" and unable to learn, though it can be "frankensteined" with other models, or via embeds, long range spectrum models, and other things to "learn" new tricks... ...but the marketing included having researchers sign that they needed a pause or *"HUMANITY COULD LOSE TO A SINGULARITY EVENT!"* because "AI" was becoming *"TOO POWERFUL TO CONTAIN"* or similar snake oil."
Panel 6: Philomela pinches her... nose... for lack of a better term: "So. People diverting attention, having everybody hurt everybody else. I could use a punchline... ...But "survivor humour" isn't funny, if you aren't a survivor"
