Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

We see the Oresme-Situ family in the control cabin of their spacecraft, as it makes its final approach to Novo Palermo. Nicole Oresme, her husband Situ Li-Liang, and their children, Brielle and Warren
Alyss/Nicole narrates: We brought our two youngest kids, Warren and Brielle, then ages 12 and 8, respectively, in Old Terra years.
Panel 2
Reverse view, the spacecraft is entering the upper atmosphere of the planet, very slightly curved horizon, clouds covering a hazy ground can be seen through the wide viewscreen.
Alyss/Nicole narrates:The children were impatient, never knowing a world wherein one cannot just ‘Pop’ into someplace you want to go.
Alyss/Nicole narrates: Personally, I enjoyed getting an overview of our new home.
Panel 3
Exterior view, the craft circles over a grassy plane bounded by a creek on one side and mountains on the other.
Alyss/Nicole narrates: Your Abuelo and I had marked out and purchased this 500 hectare section of land that our investigations showed should be suitable for both farming and some ranching.
Panel 4
The craft lands on a pad amid a grassy field. We can now see the scale of their craft – twice the size of a camper. Nearby is a building roughly the size of a cargo container
Li (from craft): Well, here we are, kids. Our new home.
Warren (from craft): What, that box over there?
Brielle (from craft): I don’t want to live in that box.
Panel 5
Li steps toward the cabin exit behind them, as the children turn to watch him. Nicole busies herself with some notations on a pad.
Li: Brielle, you won’t have to live in that box.
Li: Warren, I need you to come with me.
Panel 6
Li and Warren walk towards the cargo container
Li: That box – a cargo container – and our ship contain everything we need to get started here.
Warren: Um … are you sure? I don’t think you can fit a whole farm in there.
