Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
The women are gazing at a pair of large holo-screens.
Alyss narrates: ‘So, we spent some time studying two documents. One was Penelope’s original contract of sale for the property. The other was the ‘release’ that Adelaide signed for both of them.’
Panel 2
Focus on the women
Nicole: Okay, the ‘choice of law’ in our title contracts is ‘The Belter’s Compact.’
Alexandra: That one is popular with extra-solar societies.
Avila: Except the Huoxingese colonies.
Panel 3
Another angle on the women.
Nicole: Right. But this is good because my husband had a role in drafting it.
Penelope: Situ Li-Liang? You guys are practically royalty.
Panel 4
Another angle on the women, centered on Nicole
Nicole: Except under the compact, all titles of nobility are null and void.
Nicole: The good news is, under the compact, both of you need to sign any addendum or release.
Panel 5
Nicole and Penelope
Penelope: Are you sure? This farm is in Adelaide’s name only.
Nicole: What? Why?
Penelope: I was nearly broke, and she provided the money for the purchase.
Panel 6
Another angle on the women.
Nicole: That’s unfortunate. We may have to call in a legal beagle.
Penelope: Uh, ok, but Adelaide is allergic to dogs.
