A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Inside Club Leykis, seating is arranged in small groups around tables perched on a terraced floor in a semi-circle around a central stage. In this panel we see Rando and Nicole, escorted by an usher, being shown their reserved seats.

Rando: Hope the seating suits you.
Nicole: This is wonderful!

Seated at the table, Rando and Nicole gaze at the pair of drink menus holo-projected above the table.
Rando: What's your pleasure?
Nicole: Do they have chocolate whiskey?

Rando moves his index finger about on his holo-screen like it's a touch device (which it is). Nicole stretches in her seat like a satisfied cat.
Rando: I'll send a query to the bar.
Rando: Wonder who's the opening act here?
Nicole: Dunno. I wasn't paying attention ...

Rando's holo-screen is now showing something that looks like a playbill, featuring Philbert. Nicole's eyes are goggling.
Rando: Some guy named 'Philbert G.' Have you heard of him?
