Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Nicole has landed on a sidewalk. Her Bubb is shrinking down to pocket-size. Nearby the police cruiser is landing by the curb. She's looking sideways at it.
Amplified voice: Stay where you are!
Nicole: Okay, okay.
Panel 2
Two cops have gotten out of the cruiser and are approaching Nicole. One of them is a square-jawed white man, the other an olive-skinned, slender woman with a square face. Both have dark hair.
Male cop: UR IDENTIFICASHUN, MIS.
Nicole: Ah -- I'm Nicole Oresme, from L-5 City. I'm staying at the Hotel ...
Panel 3
The female cop stands directly in front of Nicole, giving her a cold stare.
Female cop: Your identification card?
Nicole: You mean, my passport? I -- ah -- left it at my hotel.
Panel 4
The cops glance at one another knowingly. Between them, we see Nicole looking nervous.
Male cop: Flyin a Bubb, no ID.
Female cop: Looks like we have a live one.
