Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Panel 1Downward view of Nicole falling toward the street more than 150 meters below she's reaching into her belt.

Panel 2
Same shot, street is a bit closer, some flyer traffic about 80 meters below. Nicole has pulled out her Bubb.
Nicole: Hello, old friend.
Panel 3
Same shot, street and the flyer traffic are a bit closer. The Bubb expands to envelop Nicole.
Nicole: Glad the gravity here is less than 2 gravs.
Panel 4
Now we're looking at an upward angle. Nicole in her Bubb levels out and swoops away. Thirty meters above, we can see the balcony she lept from and barely make out Rando peering at her.
Nicole: Now to find my way back to my hotel.
Panel 5
Much closer shot of the balcony, from the same angle. Rando watches Nicole fly away.
Rando: NEEDZ 2 GIT WAN OV DOSE SOMEDAI.
Panel 6
Now Rando is holding his palm to the side of his head, in a tel call.
Rando: HAY LEROY, R U CLOSE 2 MORROW AN SHEPHARD?
Rando: NEEDZ U 2 MAK PICKUP 4 ME.

Medium close-up on Nicole in her Bubb. She's starting to tear up and shake, in post-traumatic stress. Framing her are two images of Rando: one as he was in Club Leykis, smiling and friendly, the other in rapist mode, leering and menacing.
Nicole: I'm such an idiot ...
Panel 8
Her reverie is broken by bright flashing lights behind her, a siren bark, and an amplified voice yelling at her.
SFX: WOOOP!!
Voice: U IN DA BUBB! U WILL LAND AN DISMOUNT IMMEDIATELY!
