Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Seamus and Nicole enter their modest stateroom. The open space is 3.5 meters long by 2. meters wide; on one side a 2-level bed is recessed into the wall, next to a door leading into a small bathroom. On the other side is a large wallscreen, sandwiched between a recessed dresser and a desk/workstation. On the wall opposite the door is a small wetbar/pantry.
Seamus: Well, this is home for the next six days.
Panel 2
Nicole slides open the door to the bathroom and peers dubiously inside. Seamus pats the side of the upper bunk-bed.
Seamus: I hope you don't mind sleeping in the upper bunk.
Panel 3
Nicole has set her carry-on atop the dresser and is transferring some articles from her case into the dresser, and speaking without thinking.
Nicole: Sure. I doubt I'd sleep well with 250 kilos hanging over me.
Panel 4
Nicole looks up and notices Seamus glaring at her. She smiles nervously.
Nicole: Er, ah, no, I don't mind. Not at all.
