A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Seamus and Xie-Po and Bo-Nu in the drawing room. Seamus and Xie-Po are seated in two of the chairs facing and focused on one another. Bo-Nu is standing near a corner, focused on a meter-tall nude statue.
Seamus: That's surprising, since I'm fairly certain your uncle did not divulge the nature of this project.
Xie-Po: No, he did not.

Panel 2
Looking past Seamus at XIe-Po, who is looking a bit exasperated.
Xie-Po: There is no documentation in his effects! The level of secrecy Xu-Ke maintained on this was maddening!
Xie-Po: All I know is that my uncle invested twelve million jinke* in whatever it is you're doing!

Looking past Xie-Po at Seamus, furrowing his brow as he speaks.
Seamus: Then who on Huoxing would buy into a project he knows nothing about?
