Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
QV9 Kick Starting Next Week! [ Sep 26, 2024 ]
The epic QUANTUM VIBE: This Means War story concludes with Part 3, and we require funds to publish a print volume. To sweeten the pot a bit, we have added stickers and magnet add-ons for the Project for a Free Cosmos concept (explained in the story).
The campaign begins Monday, October 7.

Panel 1
The Farmer stands in a field with the five children (including Nicole) who all have pointed-blade hoes, with 1.5-meter handles. He is giving a short lecture.
Farmer: Today we're going to learn about Conservation Tillage.
Farmer: It was originally developed for areas on Old Terra where soil erosion was a problem, and water was at a premium.
Panel 2
Medium shot of Nicole with some of the other kids around her. Nicole is regarding her hoe dubiously; the others are casting annoyed glances at her.
Nicole: Excuse me, but this looks incredibly primitive.
Nicole: Is this really how our food gets raised?
Nicole: What about those big machines I see working in the other fields?
Panel 3
The Farmer stays calm but his expression is clearly one of annoyance.
Famer: Well, of course we mostly use mechanized methods, as well as hydroponics.
Famer: But to understand the basics, we will till a small patch the old-fashioned way ...
Farmer: ... if that's okay with you, Ms. Oresme.
Panel 4
The farmer begins digging a line of small holes in the dirt, as the children watch.
Farmer: What I'm doing here is digging small 'planting stations.'
Farmer: Later we'll sow a pair of meatato buds into each hole.
Nicole: I can't wait.
