Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter Success! [ May 13, 2025 ]
The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!
Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.
Panel 1
The paramedics now have Ma-Bo's body on a stretcher, zipping him into his body-bag. Behind them, Ho and Lu look on.
Ho: So, again, what is your read on this?
Lu: The deceased – Ma-Bo Nu – has some connection to this android-theft ring. Maybe a customer, maybe a procurer.
Panel 2
Ho and Lu follow the paramedics and the stretcher out of the alleyway.
Ho: Looks like they had a disagreement.
Lu: Happens often in the black-market – someone gets too greedy, or a promise gets unfulfilled. Then the long knives come out.
Panel 3
Close 2-shot of Ho and Lu.
Ho: Or in this case, a long shovel.
Lu: That is a singular detail. The shovel likely was pulled out of that trash pile, but we'll check and see if it could have come from elsewhere.
Ho: Well, eventually we'll get the story when one of those punks gets out of the medi-vat.
Panel 4
The pair walk right by the side-alleyway where Ma-Bo encountered Buford, with the Ma-Bo shaped impression still on the ground. The investigators don't seem to notice it.
Lu: It may not be a true story, Ho.
Ho: True or not, I suspect the vic's family will want a less embarrassing story.
