Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Seamus: Could be ruinous to both my social standing AND your shop's reputation.

The shopkeeper does a face-palm, as Seamus places the head back in the bag Buford is holding.
Shopkeeper: Ruinous ...
Seamus: Fortunately, with Tong's help and at considerable expense, I managed to keep a lid on the publicity.
Seamus: But there is a silver lining to this cloud.
Panel 3
The shopkeeper looks at Seamus hopefully. Nicole is now in the frame.
Seamus: As it happens, my assistant here is a budding roboticist.
Seamus: She would like to purchase this machine, as salvage, for one of her projects.
Seamus: You keep the 200 keyin damage deposit, and we'll take this junk with us.
Panel 4
The shopkeeper sifts into haggle mode.
Shopkeeper: Unacceptable. Her parts are worth at least 1000.
Seamus: 500 keyin and that's my final offer. I've already spent 10 times that on damage control.
Shopkeeper: {sigh} Very well.
