Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Nigel: Stroke? T'rombosis? How can t'at be?
Panel 3
Now they're in Dr. Burton's office, where she is displaying a graphic of Nina's brain on a large wallscreen. Burton indicates the area of the injury.
Dr. Burton: It is rare in someone so young, but it does happen.
Nigel: But – she took good care of herself, had regular healt' screenings …

Nigel: In cold storage. I told 'em I wanted to bring family in for final fiewing before she … goes into t'e recycler.
Panel 6
Murphy and Nigel.
Murphy: So you have doubts about the autopsy report.
Nigel: Absolutely I doubt it. I … well, it's a gut feeling, I have to admit.
Nigel: Do you t'ink Dr. O'Murchadha could help me?
Panel 7
Murphy, Nigel and Buford. Buford is making sad eyes at Murphy.
Murphy: Well, Dr. O'Murchadha doesn't want to get involved …
Murphy: On the other hand I owe Buford a major favor, and I do have some medical knowledge after caring for Po Xu-ke in his final years.

Murphy: Let me examine the body, and I'll see what I can find out.
