Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Panel 1Nigel, Buford, Nicole and Murphy file past the front desk, on their way out of the mortuary. Their eyes go wide in reaction to what the Clerk says to them.

Clerk: So, did your impromptu autopsy turn up anything interesting?

Murphy whirls around to confront the Clerk.
Murphy: This viewing was supposed to be private. How did you ...
Clerk: Relax! I didn't peep or listen.
Clerk: I just pay attention and use my noggin.

Medium c/u on the Clerk, counting off on his fingers.
Clerk: In the first place, I'm pretty sure that neither you nor the L-5er are actually family to the deceased.
Clerk: In the second place, I can tell by your walk that you are carrying something on your back, probably a rucksack hidden by a holo-field.
Clerk: In the third place, we got the body from Bosley, and a LOT of people are double-checking their autopsies lately.
Clerk: And in the fourth place ...

Nicole has grabbed a waste can and is vomiting into it. We can see Murphy and the Clerk behind her.
Nicole (SFX): HORRRK!!
Clerk: Your little friend there is looking green around the gills.
