Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 680

Panel 1
Chelsea, Nicole and Antigone. Chelsea and Nicole are explaining to Antigone.
Chelsea: Seamus has a prototype for a new kind of mass-detector that can locate small bodies at large distances. It doesn't matter if you can't see them in light or radar.
Nicole: I saw it – used it in action when we were at Venus.
.
Panel 2
Cut to Seamus still working feverishly on his device.
Nicole (OP): Right now it has a limited range – it could only detect a mass that large maybe 100 million clicks out.
Nicole (OP): But to detect something headed to Ceres from here would require more than five times that sensitivity.

Panel 3
Back in the room with Ed and the girls. Nicole is looking a bit shamed of herself.
Nicole: That's what he's been busy doing – working to save thousands of lives, maybe millions.
Nicole: And here I was ready to kick him in the balls for ignoring me.
Panel 4
Chelsea places a sympathetic arm across Nicole's shoulder.
Chelsea: You were concerned for your arti-girl friend.
Nicole: That's true. Say, did you guys see anything around here that looks like it could be her memory back-up unit?
