Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
QV9 Kick Starting Next Week! [ Sep 26, 2024 ]
The epic QUANTUM VIBE: This Means War story concludes with Part 3, and we require funds to publish a print volume. To sweeten the pot a bit, we have added stickers and magnet add-ons for the Project for a Free Cosmos concept (explained in the story).
The campaign begins Monday, October 7.

Panel 1
In a lounge empty save for Nicole and Seamus. Nicole is leaning against a railing, looking dejected, as Seamus is walking up to her.
Seamus: Missing your friend Buford?
Nicole: Well, sure I miss her. But that's not the problem.
Panel 2
Switch view to behind Nicole and Seamus – she's looking through an observation window at distant Sol. Their conversation continues via thoughtsend.
Nicole: This spaceliner is full of Loonies, Seamus. And did you know the company that owns her is half-owned by a subsidiary of Omega-Tek?
Seamus: Yes, I know.
Panel 3
Switch view back so we can see their faces.
Nicole: There was a Huoxingian ship scheduled for departure two days later than this one.
Seamus: Which would be problematic for Murphy, wouldn't you say?
Panel 4
Exterior view of the ship, the Argosy.
Nicole: She has her manumission docs, and our protection. Are you trying to aggravate me?
Seamus: My choice of conveyance was not about your feelings, Nicole, or Murphy's.
Panel 5
Back in the observation lounge, Nicole faces Seamus confrontationally.
Nicole: Then, what –?
Seamus: This ship – the Argosy -- better fit my schedule.
Seamus: But let me assure you, we are in no danger from the crew or passengers here.
Panel 6
Nicole faces Seamus confrontationally.
Nicole: Oh yeah? Convince me.
Seamus: The other half-owner is a subsidiary of GENSAXWAL.
Nicole: GEN-are you shucking kidding me?
Panel 7
Nicole looks thoughtful as Seamus explains.
Seamus: Think about it – each entity wants our secret, but also has a powerful interest in not allowing the other entity to get it, either.
Seamus: The two cancel each other out. We're as much on neutral territory as if this ship were owned by L-5ers.
Panel 8
Nicole looks at the zringer on her finger.
Nicole: At least they didn't give me any crat about my zringer.
Seamus: Or your handgun. Things are different out here on the frontier.
