Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Transcript For Strip 744
Panel 1Now everyone is over next to the apparatus. Nicole has climbed up and is looking into the hole where Moe is working. Seamus and Murphy stand to one side.
Seamus: Be careful! That's delicate equipment!
Murphy: A full EM shield? Projected around the ship, I presume.
Panel 2
Now Nicole is half-way in the hole, working with Moe.
Moe: Okay, just hold that brace there while I get the splitter.
Seamus: Of course. It creates a stationary pulse-wave around an axis of co-radii, at a selected distance.
Panel 3
Two-shot of Seamus and Murphy. Murphy is looking at Seamus with concern.
Murphy: An EM pulse-wave. Which you can move at will.
Murphy: What happens to A.I. Brains that pass through that wave?
Seamus: They would be – rendered inert, along with any other electronics, shielded or not.
Panel 4
Pull back to see everyone again. Murphy is distraught. Nicole has raised her upper-body back out of the hole to say her line.
Murphy: Why would you give a … a horrid weapon like this to violent criminals?
Nicole: Because he's out of his shucking mind!
Moe: What criminals?
