Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Looking across the cratered surface of Ganymede. In the distance, a domed city. In the middle-ground, a flying craft the size of a mini-bus approaches.
Caption: On Ganymede:
Murphy (from inside craft): It's five days until our next transport. Why the rush to Romulus Station?
Panel 2
Inside the flying mini-bus, Seamus is in the pilot seat, Murphy to his left. We don't see Nicole yet.
Seamus: I'm anxious to retrieve the data recorded from Nicole's sun-dive.
Seamus: The way this trip's been going, anything could happen while we're here and I want to get the most important reason we're here taken care of.
Panel 3
Murphy and Seamus.
Murphy: You haven't told me yet what this project is all about.
Seamus: Need-to-know, Murphy. It's in the contract. Since your shares are inherited you'll learn all about it when I complete the project.
Panel 4
Medium exterior shot of the flying minibus, zooming through the Ganymedian sky. We see the underside thrusters keeping it aloft in the near-vacuum.
Murphy: Suppose something happens to you, before then?
Seamus: I … I suppose that's the end of the project. Nobody else has the know-how to apply the data or the theory involved.
Panel 5
Inside the mini-bus, Seamus smiles wryly at Murphy. She remains expressionless.
Murphy: Without a back-up plan? The other share-holders must be anxious.
Seamus: They know I'm a survivor, Murphy. Also … I just don't see any way around this.
Panel 6
Murphy and Seamus. Seamus is getting irritated.
Murphy: It seems to me that getting involved in Jovian politics is not in keeping with your fiduciary duties to ...
Seamus: All right, all right, opinion noted! Can we change the subject?
Panel 7
Murphy turns to look back behind Seamus. We can't see what she's looking at.
Murphy: I'm worried about Nicole. We should have stopped at the local Aine's Spa first, or at least left her there.
Seamus: I need her to help collect the data. This can't be helped.
Panel 8
Medium shot if Nicole, in the seat behind Seamus. She's curled up hugging her knees, eyes glazed.
Seamus: Nicole is a survivor, too. She'll get through this.
Seamus: And I promise she'll see the spa after we get back to Trosberg.
