A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Jeffries stands next to a rounded doorway, waving to bid his guests walk through.
Jeffries: This way into the download room.
Seamus: Murphy, can you help Nicole?
Murphy: Got it covered.
Panel 2
The download room is like the set-up we saw at Staisi�n �ta�n orbiting Venus, way back in Volume 1. A pair of booths with face-plates one is supposed to gaze into. Seamus worries about Nicole's condition.
Seamus: This is going to be challenging.
Seamus: Nicole's eyes need to be wide-open during the flash-transfer.
Murphy: Understood.
Panel 3
Seamus positions himself in front of the right-side face-plate, while Murphy braces Nicole against the left.
Murphy: Give me a count-down.
Seamus: Flash starts in five � four � three �
