Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
At the Dispatcher's office, viewed from the Dispatcher's side. We can see Seamus and Wayne peering in the window expectantly, as the Dispatcher responds to the hail.
Dispatcher: This is Helios Base – am I addressing the Helio-Flyer?
Dispatcher: We have no telemetry signal.
Panel 2
Medium c/u on Dispatcher, looking irked.
Caption: Three minutes' speed-of-light delay later:
Voice (filtered): Yes, it's me, fuzzy-pants.
Voice: Telemetry was fried along with main control systems when I hit a prominence.
Panel 3
Seamus and Wayne look at each other in astonishment. Dispatcher continues looking at his monitor.
Dispatcher: Your main control systems are out? Then how the hell are you flying that bird?
Panel 4
Now all three men look shocked.
Nicole (filtered): I have a wired-direct interface with my Implant.
Nicole (filtered): I'm flying this bird with my brain, fuzzy-pants.
