Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Nicole jumps back in fright. Murphy smiles gently at her.
Nicole: MURPHY!!!
Nicole: You're you're not I mean ...
Panel 2
Nicole steps cautiously back towards the table, as Murphy, while not anything aside from her eyes and mouth, speaks to her.
Murphy: I'm back. After a fashion.
Murphy: Although I'm not exactly the same me I was before.
Nicole: Huh?
Panel 3
Looking past Nicole at Murphy.
Murphy: My old brain was destroyed, as you probably know.
Murphy: Turns out Seamus had a spare.
Nicole: A spare brain? Who the hell carries around a spare brain?
Panel 4
Seamus appears in an entryway.
Seamus: Someone who is very old, and has very important work to be done.
Nicole: Seamus!
Panel 5
Seamus, Murphy, Nicole. Murphy has not moved.
Seamus: I had been preparing it for emergency uploading, in case I suffer some mishap.
Seamus: But considering the service Murphy has done both of us, I reckoned she should have it instead.
Nicole: Why can't she move?
Panel 6
Same shot.
Seamus: It takes time to integrate something as complex as a new brain into an android body.
Seamus: Murphy has to learn how to move her body all over again.
Murphy (to Seamus): I think I'm ready to try again.
Panel 7
Same shot, Seamus has moved his hand to the back of her head.
Seamus: Very well, engaging your motor-cortex interface now.
Seamus: Try raising your left arm straight up.
Panel 8
Murphy's arm swings wildly and smacks Nicole in the face.
Seamus: Hmmm. You need more time.
Murphy: Sorry!
SFX: BAPF!
Nicole: OW!
