Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
We see the frigate descending towards a military-looking compound. A city skyline in the distance.
Caption (Murphy): 'GENSAXWAL had tracked the frigate to a prison complex 70 klicks south of the city of Xi'an, in north-central China.'
Panel 2
Overview of the prison complex. A large building with four major wings surrounded by a few out-buildings, including a landing pad and hangar, and a perimeter wall dotted with guard towers. The perimeter is carved into the side of a large mountain.
Caption (Murphy): 'Móu Gòu Kòu Shèshī, a 'facility' built into the mountains above a remote village which is its namesake.
Caption: 'It is rumored to be a bio-weapons facility, but that is a ruse to keep the curious away.'
Panel 3
Featuring a schematic image of the central building.
Caption (Murphy): 'In fact it is a weapons facility, but not of that sort.
Caption: 'It is where Wokka-DNG-Hoy takes shanghaied scientists and forces them to develop a variety of advanced technologies.'
Panel 4
Back to Nicole and Murphy.
Nicole: Huh. The East Terrans are not generally known for advanced technology. They mostly copy everyone else.
Murphy: Yes, of course. You can't force creative genius.
Murphy: But this is a lesson Wokka-DNG-Hoy's executives can't seem to accept.
