Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
End of docu – panels go rectangular. But we're still with the family of Beltapes, gathered round a dinner table. Pop looks a bit beaten-down, but not out, as he eats. Bomma (mother) is in charge, Buford (the teenage girl) is sullen, and Bennie (the younger boy) listens in.
Buford: Bomma, I want to leaf school.
Bomma: Leaf school? What's wrong at school? Are te teachers beating you?
Panel 2
Focus on Buford, pleading her case.
Buford: Te teachers I can deal wit. It's te oter students!
Buford: Tey all hate me, and most of tem sound like morons.
Buford: Since Tiesel moofed away I haf no friends!
Panel 3
Pop speaks up. He's pretty much ignored – the conversation is really between Buford and Bomma.
Pop: If you quit school you'll haf no future, here or back on Hygieia.
Bomma: Buford, we've all had a difficult time adjusting to liffing on Luna.
Panel 4
Same shot, Pop has nothing more to say, but Bomma does. Buford looks defeated.
Bomma: But your Pop and I will soon enough earn te money to pay his debt and ten we can moof back to te Belt.
Bomma: In te meantime we grow by ofer-coming our problems. Do you understand, Buford?
