The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1The group pops into a different room. Colors indicate a different place.
Alyss: … our ship? Jumping into open space would really suck, trust me.
Lupin: I'll take your word for it. Where are we now?
Panel 2
Alyss is carrying one of the victims towards a line of very different-looking hospital-type beds.
Alyss: Eva Jeanne's sick-bay.
Alyss: Hurry, help me get these people into the auto-docs.
Lupin: Right away.
Panel 3
Elric is placing the last victim into an auto-doc as the others stand by. We can see some of the other victims in the other beds.
Elric: Okay, now what?
Alyss: For now, the auto-docs will heal their head-wounds.
Alyss: Repairing their brains will need to wait until we return to Oz.
